Overview
This trip traces business and innovation across three Chinese cities that each represent a different model of economic growth.
In Shanghai, students explore the Pudong financial district and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, seeing how China's largest financial centre connects to global capital markets. In Shenzhen, often called China's Silicon Valley, students engage with the technology and manufacturing ecosystem that produced global companies such as Tencent and Huawei, a city built almost entirely on innovation and rapid industrial growth.
The trip closes in Hong Kong, examining how its status as an international financial hub, and its own stock exchange, connects mainland Chinese business to global markets under a distinct economic and legal system.
